Earl fell in love with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu years ago when he found the UFC during the sport's early years. He began his BJJ journey under Mike Horihan and John Hosford at Knox BJJ. With a passion for helping others learn these tried and true techniques, Earl began teaching as a blue belt in the fall of 2013 inside a cheer and dance studio. As his students rapidly multiplied, he quickly outgrew the space and launched out into his own building in the spring of 2014—from there Alpha and Omega Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu began in Knoxville, TN.
Earl earned his black belt in the summer of 2021 and is excited to bring his expansive knowledge to the Tri-Cities area of East Tennessee. He opened a second jiu-jitsu school just outside of Kingsport, TN.
Over the past eleven years, Earl has diligently worked to transform the lives of everyone that walks in the door of Alpha & Omega BJJ. As a pastor, he is passionate about combining his love for Christ and Jiu-Jitsu and sharing it with the world. Earl is a black belt, the father of seven, yes seven, adorable kids, has been married to his best friend Raquel for the last 20 years, and is the pastor of First Free Will Baptist Church Hill.
